Much like the concept of a Space Elevator, I love the idea of Mankind spreading out amongst the stars (or at least the Solar System). This is inspired by that idea, using a photo from one of the Mars Pathfinders as the central image; there's also some Gaudi, Van Gogh and Tibetan inspiration in here.
Some of the details show the face of the painting in a not-quite-finished state, as I realized it was missing a tiny element which I needed to add in, but I didn't bother with re-documenting all the sides after it was done, as it wasn't important enough; plus the purpose of the side documentation is to focus on the sides of the work, not the face. See if you can spot the difference.
